Erasing boundaries or widening them?

If you are looking to get an arranged marriage in today's day and age, then you might have to slog it out in the big bad world. Not only its a nightmare for finding a better partner but also getting help from your relatives and friends.

In today's world, with the advent of the internet and the print media slogging it out to get its share of space, it sure has become relatively easy to get access to information, communicate and express yourself. But what is missing is the authencity of information that is being provided in these platforms. You not only are dealing with a lot of fake profiles on the internet, be it on matrimonial websites and chat rooms but also changing a lot of cultural ethos specially in the traditional part of the world.

Gone are the days when it was customary to meet your relatives once a week or fortnight. The idea of socialising has taken a u turn, now the only way you communicate with your close relatives living in other part of delhi is through orkut.com/email/phone.

Sometimes you pause and think if technology is really a boon or a menace to keep us strangled in our own world.

Anyways, coming back to the original topic, it is essential for the people looking to seek an alliance to really take initiative and take part in this search for the better half.

We can't really blame our parents as it is a problem that has been created by technology and the ever changing modern technologically advanced environment that is bringing about a revolution by erasing the boundaries of distance and reach.

Is it really that or are we kicking our own a..? A thought to ponder!!
